Patna: Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal on Tuesday strongly condemned the alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother at a Mahagathbandhan event in Darbhanga, Bihar.
Jaiswal said, “There can be no bigger sin than abusing the late mother of Prime Minister Modi from the platform of Congress and RJD. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have shamed the land of Bihar… I also got emotional… One should not stoop so low to get power.”
He lauded PM Modi’s initiative to provide financial assistance to women in Bihar, aimed at empowering them and fostering self-reliance. Addressing a gathering, Jaiswal stated, “Today, Prime Minister Modi extended financial help to the mothers and sisters of Bihar to make them self-reliant. Around 20 lakh mothers and sisters were listening to him.”
Earlier, PM Modi himself addressed the derogatory remarks, highlighting the issue during an event in Bihar. He said, “The struggles of a poor mother, the suffering of her son—these young princes born into royal families cannot understand. These ‘naamdaar’ people were born with a silver spoon in their mouths. The power of the country and Bihar seems like an inheritance of their family to them.”
The Prime Minister also criticised the Congress, stating that the party has historically resisted the progress of backward communities. “Congress has never tolerated a backwards or extremely backwards person moving ahead! They think that ‘namdaars’ have the right to abuse ‘kaamdaars’… that is why they abuse,” he said.
PM Modi further highlighted the role of women in defeating the RJD in Bihar, emphasizing their pivotal role in removing the party from power. “All you women of Bihar have played a very big role in removing RJD and defeating it repeatedly. That is why, be it the RJD or Congress, these people are most upset with you, women, today. These people want to take revenge on you; they are looking for an opportunity so that they can punish you.”
He condemned the abusive remarks directed at his late mother, saying, “Mother is our world. Mother is our self-respect. I had not even imagined what happened a few days ago in this tradition-rich Bihar. My mother was abused from the stage of RJD-Congress in Bihar… These abuses are not just an insult to my mother. These are insults to the mothers, sisters and daughters of the country.”
Earlier today, PM Modi inaugurated the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited via video conferencing.
