England has confirmed the schedule for their white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in January and February 2026, a key part of their preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. The series will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The ODI series begins on January 22, 2026, just two weeks after the scheduled fifth day of the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney, where England’s multi-format player and current white-ball captain Harry Brook is expected to play. The three-match ODI series concludes on January 27, after which the T20 leg will start on January 30 and run until February 3, 2026.
The venues for all six matches will be announced later by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
This series holds added significance as it comes just weeks before the T20 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026. England will be aiming to fine-tune their squad and strategies ahead of the global tournament.
