IAF’s Jaguar fighter jet has crashed Near Churu in Rajasthan, One Dead

A Jaguar fighter aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed near Bhanuda village in Rajasthan’s Churu district on Tuesday, resulting in one fatality, as confirmed by defence sources. The incident took place in the Ratangarh area, prompting a swift response from police and emergency services.

In a statement to News18, the Superintendent of Police for Churu remarked, “It was a trainer aircraft. One person has died in the crash.”

Witnesses reported that the aircraft seemed to lose stability in mid-air before it fell into a field. A team from the Rajaldesar Police Station arrived promptly and has begun a preliminary investigation. The cause of the crash and the identity of the deceased have not yet been officially revealed.

Om Prakash, Inspector General of the Bikaner Range, stated: “Regrettably, the crash occurred earlier this morning. Police teams have reached the site and secured the area. I am also en route to the location. The area is being sanitized, and we are taking measures to protect the debris from any tampering.”

This marks the third incident involving a Jaguar jet crash this year — the first occurred in March, followed by another in April.

“There is no confirmation of any casualties at this time. We are still in the process of gathering information and will provide further details once we arrive at the crash site. I am also on my way to the location,” the Bikaner Inspector General informed News18.

Jaguar Crash In Gujarat’s Jamnagar

In April of this year, one pilot from the Indian Air Force (IAF) lost his life and another sustained injuries when a Jaguar aircraft crashed in Gujarat’s Jamnagar during a night training mission. The IAF confirmed that the pilots faced a technical malfunction mid-air and were compelled to initiate ejection procedures.

Jaguar Crash in Haryana’s Ambala

In March, a Jaguar fighter jet from the Indian Air Force crashed in Haryana’s Ambala during a standard training mission.The aircraft, which departed from the Ambala airbase, is said to have experienced a technical issue during the flight. The pilot successfully ejected and maneuvered the aircraft away from populated regions prior to ejecting. There were no reported casualties.
