Diplomatic Significance
The exchange of greetings between the two leaders reflects the depth of trust and cooperation that has long defined India-Russia relations. Over the decades, both nations have maintained strong ties in defence, energy, trade, space, and cultural exchanges.
Putin’s warm acknowledgment on Modi’s milestone birthday underlines Moscow’s recognition of New Delhi’s growing influence in global affairs. Modi’s response, balancing appreciation with a call for peace, demonstrates India’s dual role of preserving traditional alliances while advocating for global harmony in an increasingly divided world.
