Air India Delhi–Singapore Flight Delayed Due to Cabin Cooling Issue, Departs After Aircraft Change

New Delhi: Air India’s Delhi–Singapore flight AI2380, scheduled for September 10, experienced a delay due to a cabin cooling issue prior to departure. The airline confirmed that passengers were regularly updated about the delay, while ground staff at Delhi Airport assisted passengers by providing refreshments and meals. The flight eventually departed at 05:36 IST after the aircraft was replaced.

An Air India spokesperson stated, “Flight AI2380 operating from Delhi to Singapore on September 10 was delayed due to a cabin cooling issue on the ground prior to departure.

Passengers were kept informed throughout, and our ground colleagues extended all possible support at the airport. The flight departed at 0536 hrs IST after a change of aircraft. We regret the inconvenience caused. Safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our top priorities.”

In a related development, Air India announced special flights between Delhi and Kathmandu on September 10 and 11 to assist passengers stranded due to ongoing protests and unrest in Nepal.

On X (formerly Twitter), the airline expressed gratitude to the government and agencies for their coordination, advising passengers to check flight status online and contact the 24×7 call centre for assistance. Following the reopening of Tribhuvan International Airport, IndiGo has also resumed flights to and from Kathmandu, issuing travel advisories to keep passengers informed about schedules.
