Two Arrested in Firing at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurgaon Residence

Delhi Police have arrested two men in connection with the August 17 firing at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s residence in Sector 57, Gurgaon. The suspects, identified as Adi and Gaurav, are residents of Faridabad and are believed to be the shooters who opened fire outside Yadav’s house. The arrests were made by the Special Cell in Rohini following extensive investigation.

Earlier, two days after Faridabad Police apprehended a 19-year-old man who allegedly drove the shooters to Yadav’s house, Gurgaon Police arrested another Faridabad resident, Jatin (24) from Parvatiya Colony. Jatin had been working as a Rapido bike driver in Gurgaon and allegedly provided the motorcycle used during the attack. Police recovered the bike from his possession and confirmed that he planned the crime with his associates.

The attack involved three masked men on a bike who fired over two dozen rounds outside Yadav’s house around 5:30 am before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, Yadav was not at home at the time, and no injuries were reported. CCTV footage captured two of the attackers clearly, aiding police investigations.

Earlier, Faridabad Police had arrested Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, who sustained a bullet injury during a police encounter while fleeing. He was charged with attempted murder of police officers and violations under the Arms Act. The Himanshu Bhau gang has claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging that Yadav promoted betting apps that “ruined many households.” Police are currently verifying the gang’s claims.

Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, confirmed that the family was inside the house during the incident, highlighting the distress caused to the household. Investigations are ongoing to determine the complete chain of involvement and ensure accountability for all accused.
