Amid rising speculation around actor Govinda’s personal life, his manager Shashi Sinha has firmly denied all reports suggesting that the Bollywood star is heading for a divorce from his wife, Sunita Ahuja. Speaking to IANS on Saturday, Sinha clarified that the rumours are baseless and stem from an old legal case that has already been resolved.

“There is no truth to this. Someone has deliberately started this misinformation. This is an old issue, and things between them are absolutely fine now,” Sinha said. He emphasized that there is no ongoing divorce proceeding and that the couple is in a good place. “Very soon, everyone will get good news,” he added.

When questioned about whether the speculation was linked to a 2024 court case reportedly filed by Sunita in the Bandra Family Court, Sinha confirmed it was the same one. However, he insisted that the matter was resolved in the early stages and has since been misrepresented.

Sinha criticized the resurfacing of old information, saying, “People are just recycling outdated news. There’s no new development. Everything is getting sorted between them. I’ve been getting non-stop calls about this, but there’s no need to worry.”

He further stated that neither Govinda nor Sunita has spoken publicly about the matter, and slammed those spreading false claims. “In this industry, people take advantage of confusion. Some bad element—or some idiot—is trying to stir controversy for attention,” he said.

Rumours of a separation had also emerged earlier in February this year, when reports claimed that Sunita had filed for divorce and even served a legal notice. However, nothing substantial came from those claims either.

Govinda has been dealing with a tough phase recently. In October last year, he sustained a bullet injury to his foot while handling his firearm during a routine check at home. Despite the incident, he has since recovered and is gradually making his way back to public life.
