Bomb Threats Target Delhi Schools Again; Karol Bagh and Malviya Nagar Institutions Evacuated

New Delhi: Two schools in the national capital — SKV School in Malviya Nagar and Andhra School in Karol Bagh — received bomb threats via email on Wednesday morning, triggering a major security response. Police teams, bomb disposal squads, and sniffer dogs rushed to the locations, and fire brigades were stationed as a precaution.

Authorities confirmed that extensive searches were being carried out on both premises, but no suspicious objects had been found so far.

The fresh threats come just two days after a massive security scare on Monday, when as many as 32 schools across Delhi received similar hoax bomb threats. Most of the targeted schools were located in the Dwarka region, including Delhi Public School, BGS International Public School, Shri Venkateshwar School, and several others. Schools in Palam, Sagarpur, Najafgarh, and surrounding areas were also affected.

According to Delhi Fire Services, calls reporting these threats came in between 7:30 am and 12:25 pm on Monday, following which multiple police teams conducted detailed checks at every location. All the threats were confirmed to be fake, but the repeated incidents have raised serious concerns among parents and school authorities about safety measures.

Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of these hoax emails.
