PM Modi Meets Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla After Historic Space Mission

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla this evening, a day after his return to India following a landmark mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi.

Shukla was part of the Axiom-4 private space mission, which launched from Florida on June 25 and successfully docked at the ISS on June 26. He returned to Earth on July 15 after completing an 18-day mission in space. During the mission, Shukla, along with fellow astronauts Peggy Whitson from the US, Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski from Poland, and Tibor Kapu from Hungary, carried out over 60 scientific experiments and conducted 20 outreach sessions aboard the ISS, marking a significant achievement for India in space exploration.
