CP Radhakrishnan Meets PM Modi After NDA Vice Presidential Nomination

CP Radhakrishnan, the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) nominee for the Vice Presidential election, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi. The meeting is considered a significant step in the NDA’s efforts to consolidate support ahead of the upcoming Vice Presidential poll.

Prime Minister Modi shared a post on X stating, “Met Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji. Conveyed my best wishes on his being the NDA’s Vice Presidential nominee. His long years of public service and experience across domains will greatly enrich our nation. May he continue to serve the nation with the same dedication and resolve he has always demonstrated.”

Radhakrishnan, a veteran leader with strong political roots in Tamil Nadu, has been a key figure in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), known for his organisational skills and parliamentary experience. His nomination is seen as a strategic move by the NDA to maintain regional balance while reinforcing national leadership.

Though the specifics of the meeting were not disclosed, sources indicate discussions focused on campaign planning, coordination with allies, and parliamentary priorities. The meeting reflects the NDA’s confidence in securing a majority in the electoral college, which includes members from both houses of Parliament.

The Vice Presidential election, scheduled for later this month, comes amid an intense political environment in Delhi. Radhakrishnan’s nomination is expected to appeal to southern states and strengthen the NDA’s narrative of inclusive representation.
