Television actor Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee Parekh Mehta have embraced parenthood for the second time as they welcomed a baby girl into their family. The couple shared the heartwarming news on social media on Sunday, revealing that their daughter was born on August 15, 2025.

In an adorable Instagram post, Nakuul shared pictures of their firstborn son, Sufi, holding his baby sister lovingly. The couple also revealed her name—Rumi. Sharing the joy with fans, Nakuul wrote, “She’s here. Sufi finally has his Rumi. Our hearts are complete. 15th August 2025 (sic).” He also quoted a beautiful line by the poet Rumi: “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

The announcement was accompanied by photos from the hospital, including one of Nakuul and Jankee on the hospital bed post-delivery and another of the actor adoring his newborn daughter.

The news brought an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities alike, with congratulatory messages from Dia Mirza, Harshdeep Kaur, Gauahar Khan, Mini Mathur, Arjit Taneja, and many others.

Nakuul and Jankee had announced their second pregnancy in June 2025, four years after welcoming their first child, Sufi, in 2021. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, had earlier opened up about the health challenges Sufi faced as a newborn, including surgery for a bilateral inguinal hernia when he was just two months old.
