Mysuru: An escort vehicle belonging to Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar overturned near the T M Hosuru gate in the Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya district on Saturday afternoon, resulting in injuries to four individuals inside.
The vehicle was following D K Shivakumar’s car as he was returning to Bengaluru after participating in the Saadhana Samavesha event in Mysuru on Saturday when it overturned, allegedly due to the driver losing control.

Mahesh, Dinesh, Jayalingu, and Karthik have been identified as the injured occupants of the vehicle.
They received initial medical assistance at the Srirangapatna taluk hospital before being transferred to K R Hospital in Mysuru for additional treatment. The vehicle sustained partial damage as a result of the collision.
The Srirangpatna rural police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
