Vijay Deverakonda Admitted to Hospital Due to Dengue Before Kingdom Release

Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly been Hospitalized. If a recent post by an Instagram account called ‘Entertainment AF’ is to be believed, the Telugu actor has been admitted to a hospital due to dengue. Sources referenced by the portal suggest that Vijay is expected to be discharged by the 20th of this month.

While further details are pending, it is important to note that neither Vijay Deverakonda nor his team has released any statement confirming or denying the report of his hospitalization at this time.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that the news of Vijay Deverakonda being diagnosed with dengue comes at a moment when the actor is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, Kingdom. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, this Telugu-language spy action thriller is set to premiere in theaters on July 31.

Kingdom features Vijay Deverakonda alongside Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev, and is produced by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Promoted as a high-octane commercial entertainer, Kingdom was initially scheduled for release on March 30 but faced delays due to production-related issues.

It has been reported that Kingdom may not be released for Hindi audiences. According to 123 Telugu, the producers have not announced a release date for the Hindi version. This has led to speculation that the team has opted to forgo a theatrical release for Hindi and may instead plan for a direct release on Netflix.

“Netflix had originally signed a different agreement with the producers. However, due to several delays, the streaming service reportedly urged the team to release the film in theaters as soon as possible. Launching the Hindi version without support from major multiplex chains would not be financially viable, and the regulation requiring at least eight weeks between a theatrical release and its OTT debut would complicate matters further. To circumvent these issues, the team is said to have chosen to skip a theatrical release for the Hindi version and pursue a direct OTT release instead,” the report stated. An official clarification from the team is still pending.

In addition, numerous rumors and assertions have emerged suggesting that Vijay Deverakonda has taken over the role of the primary antagonist from Vikrant Massey in Farhan Akhtar’s action thriller Don 3. As per paparazzo Sneh Kumar Zala, Vijay Deverakonda is set to confront Ranveer Singh in Don 3, rather than Vikrant. Nevertheless, there is currently no official confirmation regarding this.
