Actor and television personality Archana Puran Singh recently shared her experience of falling prey to an online ticketing scam while vacationing in Dubai with her family. In her latest vlog posted on her YouTube channel, Archana recounted how what was intended to be an enjoyable family outing took an unfortunate turn after they were deceived by a fraudulent website.

Accompanied by her husband Parmeet Sethi and their sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan, the actor had arranged tickets for an indoor skydiving experience at iFly Dubai. However, upon their arrival at the venue, the family found out that there was no reservation made in their name.

“We had booked three slots at iFly Dubai, but this lady is saying that we have no booking,” Archana expressed in the video, clearly upset. “We have been scammed because the website where we made the payment is not theirs. We have already paid, and the tickets are not inexpensive… Dubai mein hamare paise doob gaye (We lost our money in Dubai). I never anticipated this happening in Dubai, where there are such strict regulations and laws. People are usually afraid to engage in such activities.”

Her husband, Parmeet Sethi, who is also an actor and filmmaker, remarked, “I am shocked… Thousands of rupees are (gone)… Pata chale yahi scam hai (What if it turns out that this is also a scam),” he said, partly in jest, while expressing his disbelief over the situation.

In the vlog, Aaryamann also shared his thoughts on the incident, admitting he had a slight suspicion during the booking process. “When I was booking the tickets, the website indicated 4 minutes for the ride, but when it redirected to another page, it changed to 2 minutes. I had a doubt, but I thought a scam couldn’t happen on a main website,” he clarified.

Archana remains a familiar face on The Great Indian Kapil Show and was last seen portraying Mrs. Braganza Malhotra in the comedy series Nadaaniyaan.
