Arijit Singh, one of the most cherished voices in Indian cinema with numerous chart-topping hits, is now embarking on a new creative journey. After enchanting audiences for over 15 years with his emotive singing, the renowned artist is stepping into the role of director. He is preparing to direct a Pan-India jungle adventure film, which is reportedly being produced by Mahaveer Jain under Mahaveer Jain Films.
A source close to the project stated, “Indeed, Arijit Singh is ready to take on the role of director. He will helm a distinctive jungle adventure film. Mahaveer Jain is producing the film and is thrilled about this ambitious endeavor. They are committed to making this project a visual spectacle that resonates with the Pan-India audience.”
Arijit Singh is the most followed musician on Spotify, surpassing Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
“The casting and preparations are currently in progress. The team intends to announce the film once the casting and title are finalized. Until now, Arijit Singh has dazzled audiences with his performances as a singer, which has also made him a leading artist on Spotify. Now, he is preparing to astonish everyone with his directorial debut,” the source added further.
Arijit Singh’s directorial debut is co-written by him and Koyel Singh. The film is produced by Sudipta Bhattacharya, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Bala Saheb Darade under Mahaveer Jain Films and Alokdyuti Films, with God Bless Entertainment acting as co-producer.
Conversely, Mahaveer Jain is recognized for producing cinematic masterpieces; in the past, he has produced films such as Dekh Indian Circus (2011), Chalo Jeetey Hain (2018), Malaal (2019), Khandaani Shafakhana (2019), Uunchai (2022), Ram Setu (2022), Good Luck Jerry (2022), and Binny and Family (2024). Next up is NaagZilla starring Kartik Aaryan, along with White, an international biopic-thriller based on the life of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, featuring Vikrant Massey in the lead.
