The body of a bank manager, who had been reported missing from Patna, was discovered in a well located in the Beur area, as stated by officials.

Authorities also located his scooter within the same well, which has raised concerns regarding the circumstances of his death. An investigation is currently in progress.

Abhishek Varun, who worked as a branch manager for ICICI Lombard in Patna, resided in Kankarbagh and had been missing since Sunday night.

He had participated in a family gathering in the Ramkrishna Nagar area with his wife and children. After the event, he sent his family home while he remained at the venue.

Subsequently, he went missing.

His wife mentioned that she called him after arriving home to inquire about his return. Abhishek informed her that he was on his way back.

However, around 3 am, he called again to report that he had been involved in an accident. After that, his phone was turned off, and there has been no communication since.

In a state of panic, family members searched local hospitals near the party venue and along the bypass area from the morning, but they could not find any sign of him.

An FIR was filed at the Kankarbagh police station, prompting the police to initiate an investigation.

A police team also visited the party location and checked nearby hospitals for any cases related to accidents.

CCTV footage from various sites was reviewed.
