Following the success of Bawaal, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan have reunited to star in Shashank Khaitan’s forthcoming romantic comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. After several delays, the producers have finally unveiled the first looks of the actors along with a new release date for this eagerly awaited film.

In anticipation of Janhvi’s upcoming project, Arjun Kapoor took to social media to extend his congratulations to the actress. Arjun, who is also Varun Dhawan’s childhood best friend, shared the poster featuring Janhvi’s first look on his Instagram story. In a light-hearted message to his sister, Arjun humorously remarked, “@janhvikapoor ur blessed by Mr Natkhat Nautanki again!!!! @varundvn” The poster, initially released by Dharma Productions, showcased Janhvi Kapoor’s first appearance as Tulsi Kumari. In the image, Janhvi exuded desi girl charm in a stunning yellow saree paired with a golden blouse. The poster included a witty couplet that stated, “Dikhne main bholi bhaali, Chanchal pyaari… Lekin andar se melodramatic like Meena Kumari!!!”

In addition to Janhvi’s first look, the production company also revealed Varun Dhawan’s first look as Sunny Sanskari. The Student of the Year star was depicted smiling with his hands folded in the poster. While sharing Varun’s first look, the production house commented, “Sunny Sanskari ki shaayari—‘Yehaansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Yeh ansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai…kal nahii!!!”

As fans eagerly await the opportunity to see Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s on-screen chemistry, the producers have announced a new release date for this romantic comedy. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which was initially set to premiere on September 12, will now debut in theaters on October 2, 2025. In addition to the lead actors, the film boasts a diverse cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, Rohit Saraf, and Akshay Oberoi, among others. With this updated release date, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is poised to compete with Kantara: A Legend—Chapter 1 and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
