Sara Ali Khan, who is garnering exceptional praise for her role as Chumki in Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino, expressed her gratitude to fans for their support. The actress starred alongside Aditya Roy Kapur in the film. She also shared several behind-the-scenes (BTS) moments from key scenes in the movie.
Sara’s collection of BTS images highlighted her experience as Chumki. The photos provided a charming insight into her spontaneous moments and fun snapshots.
In the first image that Sara Ali Khan shared, she was seen beaming with the brightest smile while embodying her character. The next picture offered a humorous look at Anurag Basu sporting a wig. Following that was a photo from a dinner scene with Aditya Roy Kapur, along with two additional images that seemed to be from the toy train sequence towards the film’s climax.
In a heartfelt message, Sara expressed, “Grateful, blessed and so so so happy. Thank you for all the love you’ve given our film and for accepting and loving Chumki too. P.S clearly there was no middle ground with our moods.”
In its review for Metro… In Dino, the film received a rating of four out of five stars. An excerpt from our review discussing Sara and Aditya’s performances stated: “Kudos to Anurag for also playing on Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan’s strengths. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Sara we recognized from Kedarnath is finally back! She comprehends the assignment and conveys the grit and emotional depth of her character exceptionally well. Aditya also showcases his comedic timing and is charming, often reminding viewers of his Akash from Ludo or perhaps even Bunny from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, but we have no complaints at all.”
Metro… In Dino, as the title implies, addresses the complexities of contemporary relationships. During the film’s trailer launch, Aditya and Sara discussed the concept of ‘situationship’. In response, Aditya remarked, “I didn’t even understand what the term means. So, I guess I’m old school in that regard.” Sara added, “I also share the same sentiment. I don’t truly believe in situationships.
In addition to Sara and Aditya, Metro… In Dino features Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others. The movie premiered on July 4.
