Chirag Paswan receives a death threat via social media, police complaint to be filed

Patna:  Union minister Chirag Paswan has been threatened with death by an Instagram user, as reported by his Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on Saturday.

The party also posted a screenshot on its X handle of a complaint filed with the cyber police station in Patna by chief spokesman Rajesh Bhatt.

In the complaint, which the SHO has initiated an inquiry into, Bhatt referenced a post from an individual named ‘Tiger Meraj Idrisi’ who threatened to “bomb” the Hajipur MP.

Bhatt accused the user of displaying “a criminal bent of mind” and suggested that he appeared “upset with the increasing popularity of our leader”.

Bihar alcohol ban:  A senior government official has been arrested for arriving intoxicated at an event.

The party called on both the Centre and the state government to ensure that the perpetrator is held accountable, alleging that he is an “RJD supporter”.

However, the police complaint filed by Bhatt does not mention the opposition party.
