What Amit Shah Plans to Pursue Following His Retirement

A life solely focused on politics is not enough for Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is regarded as one of the most powerful figures in his domain and is known for his close collaboration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He appears to share this sentiment. Shah recently revealed his retirement aspirations, expressing a desire to devote his remaining years to studying the Vedas, Upanishads, and engaging in natural farming.

“I have made the decision that upon my retirement, I will commit the rest of my life to the Vedas, Upanishads, and natural farming,” Shah stated during the ‘Sahkaar Samvaad’ event attended by women from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and other cooperative workers.

Shah has frequently shared his passion for reading, mentioning that he possesses 8,000 books that he has yet to explore. He also enjoys classical music.

During an event with Network18, he remarked: “I have 8,000 books and haven’t read any. I am very interested in classical music, so I will read my books and listen to music while I’m at it.”

At the Ahmedabad event, Shah elaborated on natural farming, also known as organic farming, describing it as a scientifically-based method with significant advantages.

“Wheat cultivated with chemical fertilizers results in various health problems, including numerous lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid issues, and even life-threatening conditions like cancer,” he explained. “Natural farming not only aids in achieving a disease-free body but also lessens reliance on medications.”

He noted that natural farming boosts agricultural productivity and shared his personal experience of achieving a 1.5 times increase in crop yield on his own land.

Several months ago, the Home Minister discussed his weight-loss journey, highlighting how his health dramatically improved through positive lifestyle changes, including proper nutrition, hydration, exercise, and sufficient sleep. On World Liver Day, he stated: “Since May 2019, I have experienced a significant transformation. By ensuring I get adequate sleep, drink pure water, eat nutritious food, and engage in regular exercise, I have accomplished a great deal in my life. Over the past 4.5 years, I have liberated myself from the need for allopathic medications.”
