Temples in Jabalpur encourage worshippers to don ‘culturally appropriate’ attire

Jabalpur: Notices urging worshippers to don “culturally appropriate” attire have been displayed at 40 temples in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

A representative from Mahakal Sangh International Bajrang Dal, the organization responsible for the posters, stated on Sunday that worshippers should refrain from wearing jeans, tops, mini skirts, nightwear, and shorts, and that women and girls should also cover their heads.

‘Why do people go out so early’: A comment from an NHAI lawyer ignites outrage.

“This should not be misconstrued. It is our responsibility to uphold Indian culture. I urge women to wear culturally appropriate clothing when visiting temples,” he asserted.
