As China seeks to enhance its influence in the Caucasus, Armenia views India as a possible counterweight in the Central and West Asia area. Armenian strategic analysts informed Firstpost that New Delhi could be crucial in establishing a Black Sea Corridor, linking India to Iran, Armenia, Georgia, and the broader Central Asia.

In recent years, this region has attracted considerable attention, with China making substantial investments in Azerbaijan and Georgia.

India has the chance to leverage its strong relationship with Armenia to carve out a presence in the region, according to strategic analysts. The ties between India and Armenia date back several decades. In 2022, India overtook Russia to become Armenia’s primary arms supplier.
