A 40-year-old English teacher from a prestigious school in Mumbai has been taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting her 16-year-old student. The married woman, who has children, is accused of having assaulted the student several times over the course of a year at a luxury hotel. She is now facing charges under the Pocso Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.

In a troubling incident from Mumbai, police officials have confirmed the arrest of a 40-year-old English teacher from one of the city’s esteemed schools for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old male student multiple times throughout the past year.

The situation came to light when the boy found the strength to tell his family about the abuse he suffered. Following this, his parents contacted the police and lodged a formal complaint against the teacher.
