“Remarkable milestone”: Harmanpreet Kaur praises Smriti Mandhana as she approaches her 50th T20I appearance

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur praised star opening batter Smriti Mandhana as she prepares to play in her 150th T20 international match, with India Women facing England Women on Tuesday.

In the first T20I at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, India Women stunned England Women by winning with a remarkable margin of 97 runs, taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. The Women in Blue aim to extend their lead when they compete against England in the second T20I at the County Ground in Bristol.

Mandhana has achieved a new career-high rating of 771 points, maintaining a 23-point lead over the No.1 ranked player Beth Mooney among T20I batters.

Throughout her 149 T20 International appearances, Mandhana has scored 3873 runs with an average of 30.02 and a strike rate of 124.41. She has recorded 30 fifties and one century to her name.
