A report from Pakistani media has asserted that India is assured of participating in the 2025 Asia Cup, despite doubts regarding the tournament’s continuation in light of the India-Pakistan conflict.

The already tense relationship between the two countries has worsened following the horrific Pahalgam terror attack and India’s decisive retaliatory action through Operation Sindoor, during which several terror camps in Pakistan were allegedly destroyed.

In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor’s devastation in Pakistan, Indian media has suggested that the Asia Cup 2025 could be canceled, as India might withdraw from the tournament.

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has secured the media rights for all Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events, including the Asia Cup, from 2024 to 2031 for a base fee of $170 million.
