They are excessively reliant on Bumrah’: Former India captain supports Kuldeep Yadav for the Edgbaston Test

Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin has expressed that India ought to include left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav for the second Test against England at Edgbaston.

After India’s five-wicket defeat in the first Test at Headingley, Azhar remarked that Kuldeep’s experience could alleviate the pressure on Jasprit Bumrah, noting that the team is excessively reliant on him. The Indian bowlers faced challenges in containing the England batsmen during the fourth innings in Leeds, despite India achieving commendable scores in both innings.

Even with centuries from Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul, collapses in the middle and lower order hindered India from establishing larger targets.
